| Hey — at Mozilla, we do one thing: build a better internet together. We all love the web, but it’s also riddled with problems — from worryingly biased AI to frequent data breaches and harmful fake news.
So much of how we socialize, live and work happens online, but right now we're at the mercy of a few secretive Big Tech billionaires who control large chunks of the web. They have a big impact on our politics and economy too. That’s ridiculous. But worse than that, it’s dangerous.
Together, we can fix this mess and build a safer, healthier web that works in all our interests, which is why I’m asking you to give to Mozilla today, if you can.
Let's reshape the web around shared values of kindness, honesty and fairness. We need to raise $1.5 million to fund the fight in 2022 — can you donate to Mozilla now? It takes 2 minutes: Our Mozilla community is pushing to make the internet the best it can be: an open tool for all of us — the powerful and the weak, the right and the left, everyone.
Here’s what that looks like, in 5 easy steps (kind of): - Good security — we need to know our online info is safe from hackers.
- Fair trade data — our personal data should be used for our own good.
- Trusted content — we should be able to trust what we see online.
- Online respect — social platforms should foster kindness not conflict.
- Equal access — the web should be available to everyone, everywhere.
OK, that makes it all sound pretty simple, when the reality is a whole heap more complex and messy. But does that mean we should back down? No way! The opposite, in fact — we need to fight harder than ever next year.
Because here’s the thing: if enough of us take action for a healthier internet, governments and tech companies will have no choice but to make some major changes. So, let’s do it.
Are you onboard? Chip in now to supercharge Mozilla’s campaigns to make the internet a force for good in 2022. It takes 2 minutes: Thanks for being part of the fight for a safer, healthier internet.
It’s great to have you on the team.
Jon Lloyd, Head of Campaigns Mozilla
P.S. — The web brings us so much joy, community, info and entertainment. But it can harm us too, and that needs to change – right now. If you can, please chip in today to help make the internet a force for good. | | |
