You don't need to ask a state lawmaker from Central what he really thinks. After a vote yesterday to table a bill to change voting districts involving the state Supreme Court, Rep. Barry Ivey had had enough. Read this story and look for the terms "stupid" and "laziest." 

I love a parade

Carnival returns in earnest to the Baton Rouge area, with seven parades set between Friday and Sunday. We've got maps and more. 

Speaking of raccoons

Believe it or not, we had a newsroom discussion the other day about a raccoon, and lo and behold we noticed today that a raccoon fell from the ceiling of a dining hall at LSU yesterday. Just in time for Mardi Gras, here's a rodent with a mask.
