Your Ottawa REDBLACKS have had a busy month giving back to the community!

On September 12, the OSEG Foundation held their annual Gourmet on the Gridiron, a networking event with community leaders and REDBLACKS players to help raise funds and awareness for youth through sports, skill development and inclusion.  

This year, Players, coaches, sponsors & guests helped raise $300,000 for children & youth in Ottawa! 

It's in all of us to help tackle hunger in our community.  

Your Ottawa REDBLACKS made the trip to the newest Ottawa Food Bank location, and it's where all your non-perishable donations went from the September 22 home game.

Dutch-born linebacker Tyron Vrede was dealt an unenviable hand this season, spending the vast majority of the time on the injured list, suffering a pretty gnarly upper-body ailment. 

Vrede stuck around in Ottawa, and decided he wanted to take full advantage, looking to gain some experience on the business side of sport. He got a gig as a marketing intern with the Ottawa Sports and Entertainment Group, with the goal of giving himself a leg up when he eventually plots a path post-football.
