Now even White House leak crackdowns are leaking to the press. At a meeting called by press secretary Sean Spicer, staffers were told to dump their phones on a table for a “phone check," to prove they had nothing to hide. New security measures include random phone checks of staffers, overseen by White House attorneys.Â

Pentagon-Funded School Has Suspected Chinese Military Ties
Fox News
The University of Management and Technology, in Rosslyn, Va., is the focus of probes into officials' connections with the Chinese military and whether American service members who took courses at the online school had their records compromised. The school's president is reportedly an ex-colonel in the Chinese People's Liberation Army.

EPA Employees Used Government Purchase Card to Buy Gym Memberships

An audit conducted by the Environmental Protection Agency's inspector general found that employees wrongfully used their government purchase cards to spend $14,985 on fitness club memberships, among other questionable purchases.

Florida: A Child is Shot in the State Every 17 Hours

The number of children injured and killed by guns has risen with the growing availability of weapons in Florida, an investigation found. Hospital discharge records show that between 2010 and 2015, almost 3,200 residents 17 years old and younger were either killed or injured by firearms.Â

Serbia: Released Guantanamo Detainee Still Feels Like Prisoner

A reporter went to Serbia to find out why transferring former Guantanamo inmates is so difficult. He soon got a clue: The journalist was stopped and questioned by Serbian police suspicious of his contact with the ex-detainee. Even though the Serbian government had agreed to give ex-inmate a home, it still seemed uncomfortable with taking in an accused terrorist. "I feel I am in another jail," he says.
