Rebuilding Trust in a Post-Cookie Era April 7th - 11am EST The cookie ecosystem is on a time clock. From its relatively naïve origins as a storage mechanism, it evolved into a system of distrust in which personal data is bought and sold without consumer knowledge or consent. Rebuilding trust with consumers must guide our next steps and we must better deliver upon the value exchange between consumers and content. As mandates to change privacy practices occur, people-based identity solutions become key to the success of maintaining a free and open internet environment. These shifts are actually opportunistic for all and will result in a great deal of innovation -- consumers gain a better content experience and marketers gain improved abilities to message audiences effectively. Early results of testing cookieless solutions have been promising and it is possible to achieve a healthier data ecosystem while delivering increased ROAS.
