How is your summer going?

About a week ago, my husband and I were out clearing land where our shop and house will be built. We're making slow, yet steady progress.

One thing's for sure though...we are all dealing with the price increases everywhere!

Speaking of, I've been notified that the price I pay for the T-Shirts in my Etsy store is going up. So I have to make adjustments. Right now, I've got free shipping. But next week, that freebie has to go. (I hate that!) Free shipping will end at 9:00pm EST this Friday, July 8th.

Chokecherry Jelly

I opted to do a low-sugar chokecherry jelly using Pomona’s Pectin. (I don’t suggest no-sugar chokecherry jelly, because chokecherries need a bit of sweetness.) I love it!

Canning Corn

Canning corn is a great way to preserve your harvest. Some people love it, and some don’t. Personally, I like the flavor of home-canned corn too. Canning corn from your own garden or another local grower is still better than store-bought canned sweet corn.
