Reckoning with Fallen Christian Leaders

Recently the news has been filled with stories of fallen Christian leaders. Usually, such stories don’t shake me. I put my trust in Jesus, not fallible human beings. But the latest round of ugly revelations left me shaking my head. It feels like these kinds of moral failings (and in a couple cases, criminal actions) are becoming too common, a sad sort of liturgy the church repeats on a regular basis

If you’ve been shaken and saddened like me, a few voices will help you process what’s happening. In this week’s episode of The Bulletin, Russell Moore, Mike Cosper, and Clarissa Moll talk with Nicole Martin about the resignation of pastor Robert Morris and why churches harbor predators. Listen to Broken Halos.

Russell Moore also reflects on the disgraced culture warrior Paul Pressler and why Going for the Jugular Does Not Wash Away Sin.

Character truly is destiny. Our Character & Integrity assessment will help you assess where you might be weak and how to set up safeguards.
