Infinity IF18/15 belt tensioner flange Posted: 06 Aug 2019 09:08 AM PDT Infinity has released a belt tensioner flange for use on both their IF18 and IF15 nitro on-road chassis. This tension roller flange prevents the middle belt from accidentally falling off in high load situations such as high temperatures or extreme high traction. Fixed in place so as not to increase rotating mass of the roller, it is also shaped to prevent any step between the belt and the flange. It is available in black or titian colours. Fenix Classique March 761 Formula body shell Posted: 06 Aug 2019 08:49 AM PDT Fenix have introduced their new Classique March 761 formula body shell for 1/10th scale formula pan cars. A prototype of the body was shown and raced at the recent ETS final in Trencin and it is now ready to hit the stores with the lid being officially licensed by the current March rights holder, ensuring a scale appearance including lots of engine and rear suspension details. The body comes clear, it fits Tamiya F103 and F104 kits as well as most of today’s formula pan cars and it can be further customised by using Fenix’s Classique aluminium air intakes. Samix Enduro 6mm offset brass wheel hex adapters Posted: 06 Aug 2019 08:25 AM PDT Made for the Element RC Enduro trail truck are Samix’s new 6mm offset wheel hex adapters made of heavy brass material. The set of four hexes adds 20g of weight to one of the lowest areas of the chassis, improving climbing performance while their black and golden appearance also adds visual impact when the wheels are off. Xtreme Racing Project 4X Pro flex battery hold down kit Posted: 06 Aug 2019 07:49 AM PDT Following the release of the flex battery hold down kit for the Xray T4, Xtreme Racing now also have a variant for the Serpent Project 4X Pro available. The set replaces the standard battery mounting system and does away with the need to use tape to hold down the battery pack in favour of a quick release system that only lightly tabs the battery pack, resulting in quicker battery swaps and less influence in chassis tweak. The set includes two battery hold downs, two LiPo battery supports and 6 shooter thumb fasteners along all needed mounting hardware. The Force Series Fall Session Rd1 – Report Posted: 06 Aug 2019 07:19 AM PDT SS Hobbies and Raceway of Tampa, Floria played host to round one of The Force Series fall session this past weekend. With heavy rains throughout Friday practice and Saturday race day, racing went on without delays as this unique track is covered and protected from mother nature. With 134 entries going into qualifying, racing heated up quickly in expert nitro buggy class as teammates Lee Setser, JR Mitch, and AJ Marasco would qualify top 3 going into the A-main event. The 25-minute main would see plenty of action throughout, but it was Lee Setser that held off a late charge from JR Mitch for the win. JR would finish 2nd and AJ Marasco rounded out the top 3. Expert E-Buggy would see another battle between JR Mitch and Lee Setser throughout qualifying, but it was JR who took the overall TQ after 2 rounds. The double A-mains would see two epic battles as both Lee and JR would trade the lead six to eight times with JR winning A1 and Lee winning A2. JR would win the tie-breaker by .05 for the overall win, Lee would finish 2nd, and Ryan Harris would round out the top 3. 40+ Nitro buggy would see Carl Lebo set the early pace in qualifying and held on for the overall TQ after two rounds. Carl and AJ Johnson would have a great battle in the A-main trading positions multiple times, but it was Carl that would hold on for the win, with AJ finishing 2nd, and Kurt Stephan in 3rd. Kevin Brunsden wins at SRS Rd5 Posted: 06 Aug 2019 03:53 AM PDT Round 5 of the Southern Regional Series was hosted by the Southcoast RC track in Dorset last weekend. SWorkz’s Kevin Brunsden took two round TQs for the overall and also came out on top of the 20-minute A-main, a lap and a half in front of young Dylan Saunders (Team Associated) who was able to grab the runner-up spot in the closing stages, taking profit of a mishap of Agama’s Jon Hazlewood who would take 3rd in front of James Clifford. BRCA Touring Car Nationals Rd4 – Report Posted: 06 Aug 2019 03:26 AM PDT The 4th and penultimate round of the BRCA Touring Car Nationals took place this weekend at the crazy fast Cotswolds circuit. In the premier Modified class once again Schumacher’s Olly Jefferies was battling it out with Xray’s Elliott Harper, with Team Associated’s Zak Smith also in the mix this weekend. Elliott took TQ and the win in both legs with Olly a 3rd and a 2nd in the finals giving him 3rd overall tied with Zak Smith. In the Stock class Schumacher’s James Hart continued from where he left off from the last round taking TQ and the double win. James drove excellently under pressure from ARC’s Colin Jackson and Schumacher’s Zak Finlay. The final round now moves to Aldershot in four week’s time with both Championships still to play for. Pawel Staszewski TQs & wins at Polish On-road Nats Posted: 06 Aug 2019 02:23 AM PDT The Polish On-road Nationals were held in Nowy Sacz last weekend in several electric and nitro on-road classes. In Touring Spec 13.5T it was Pawel Staszewski with a clean sweep after the qualifiers, taking all four rounds for the overall TQ and pole position. Jakub Klapacz came in 2nd from Lukasz Mach in 3rd. The finals then again were pretty much smooth sailing for Pawel who took wins in A1 and A2 for an early overall victory while 4th place qualifier, Krystian Kopacki snatched the runner-up spot from Jakub Klapacz who rounded out the top 3 results. Power HD TR-4 TRX-4 crawler servo Posted: 06 Aug 2019 01:29 AM PDT Power HD have announced the release of their Traxxas TRX-4 specific TR-4 waterproof mini servo. The high-voltage compatible servo pulls up to 2.6kg-cm of torque at a speed of down to 0.10s and it features a long 35cm receiver wire and mini-class dimensions of 22.5×12.5×24.0mm to ensure the servo is a direct fit in the TRX-4 crawler. The servo utilises a 25T spline, metal gears and special gaskets make it waterproof for go-everywhere capabilities. Mayo, Jelin & Drake win at JBRL Nitro Series Rd5 Posted: 06 Aug 2019 01:13 AM PDT Round 5 of this year’s JBRL Nitro Series was held at the Wild West R/C track in Winchester, California last weekend. The event had nearly 130 entries and attracted some of the region’s fastest nitro off-road racers. In Expert Buggy it was Mugen’s Adam Drake with the overall TQ, but the 15-minute A-main event would see 4th place qualifier Jake Mayo (Xray) taking the win from 8th place qualifier Carlos Arredondo (Tekno RC) in 2nd and TQ Adam Drake in 3rd. Open Truggy had Kyosho’s CJ Jelin taking the overall TQ that the young man would also convert in to a win in the 15-minute A-main. Adam Drake came in 2nd from 2nd place qualifier Anthony Westergaard (TLR) in 3rd. Open E-Buggy was top qualified by Tekno RC’s Jared Wiggins, however it was Adam Drake with the overall win some ten seconds in front of Jared as CJ Jelin completed the top 3 result, coming from P4 on the grid.
