WellRC WellCut body post & exhaust stinger marker Posted: 16 Nov 2019 11:19 AM PST WellRC have introduced two new WellCut products that help to make preparing on-road body shells a lot easier. First up is the WellCut for 1/8th scale body shells, a system that helps to locate the body posts when prepping already painted body shells. Place the WellCuts over the front body posts with the magnets facing the rear of the car and secure them with two body clips. After using the WellCut template to cut out the rear of the car, set the body on the car and drop the front two outer magnets into place. The super strong magnets will immediately centre themselves. Use a fine tip black permanent marker to mark the centres of the magnets. Remove the body and cut the two holes with a body reamer and you’re set. Available in two sizes to fit 7 and 8mm diameter front posts. Also new is the WellCut for exhaust outlets. Just slide the WellCut into place and align it so the outer edge sits parallel against the body. Drop the included outer magnet into place and use a fine tip permanent marker to mark the centre hole. Use a body reamer to cut the hole and enjoy perfect results time after time. The universal size fits most 1/10 and 1/8 exhaust stingers. Sawada wins Rd3 of OneTen Series at AMA Posted: 16 Nov 2019 01:25 AM PST Jin Sawada has maintained with his perfect winning record this year at the OneTen Series presented by Infinity as he took the win today in Guangzhou. Having won A1 earlier in the afternoon, the Japanese driver would follow up with a win in A2 to seal the overall at Rd3 of the series. Gary Huang would take the runner up spot as the Xray driver had a difficult A2 but would bounce back to win A3 by a big margin. Having a troubled start to the day, Yugo Nagashima’s day finally turned around as he finished 2nd in both A2 and A3 to take the final step of the podium. Marco Ma would take 4th overall followed by Stick King in 5th. Commenting on his A2, he said it was easier than expected as the challenge from Gary failed to materialize. For A3 he tried a change of body, going from the DBX to the Hellcat but it wasn’t any better, and in the end contact with a backmarker ended his run as it pulled the right front corner of his IF14. A1 win at AMA for pole man Sawada Posted: 15 Nov 2019 11:54 PM PST The win in A1 at the OneTen series Rd3 in AMA in Guangzhou has gone to Infinity driver Jin Sawada but he was pushed very hard early on by Gary Huang until a mistake from the Xray driver dropped him back and out of contention although he would still finish in 2nd. A rough start to the final say some crashes in the mid-pack and surviving the carnage it was Marco Ma who would come out of it in 3rd while Stick King finally had some luck on his side and finished in 4th. Describing his final simply as ‘Good’, he expanded on it by saying that at the start Gary was very fast and when he made his mistake Jin switched to safety mode and cruised home to the win. Running the final on a new set of Sweep control tires, Jin said his only major issue in the final was dealing with the traffic, coming together with a slower car at one point. Jin Sawada takes pole position at OneTen Rd3 Posted: 15 Nov 2019 10:53 PM PST Jin Sawada is the top qualifier for the 3rd round of the OneTen series in Guangzhou having taken the first 2 rounds of qualifying, however, it was Gary Huang who will start just behind the Infinity driver, that put in the fastest run of the day on his way to taking the 3rd and final round of qualifying. Behind the lead pair, it was Yugo Nagashima who finally put in a better run in the 3rd qualifier after two difficult runs prior to that point but will have to work his way through the field, set to start from 5th. Just ahead it is the Xray pairing of Marco Ma and Minhao Lao who will start the triple 4-minute mains from 3rd and 4th on the grid. ‘Maximum danger’ was how Jin described his final run, the Japanese driver crashing in the center of the track having caught one of the dots. Looking to the final Jin said it won’t be easy to run without mistakes but even if he makes a mistake it will difficult for those behind to make a pass due to the height of the curbs. First qualifier in Guangzhou goes to Sawada Posted: 15 Nov 2019 08:40 PM PST The opening round of qualifying for the 3rd round of the OneTen Series presented by Infinity has been completed and it was Jin Sawada, winner of the opening two rounds of the series in Shanghai that was again fastest following the first qualifier. A low turnout at AMA, in 2nd place it was Chinese National champion Gary Hunag in 2nd with two up and coming Chinese Xray racers Marco Ma and Minhao Lao in 3rd and 4th respectively. Yugo Nakashima and Stick King both had problems in their heat with both suffering servo failures, the former during the run and the latter before the 6 minutes even started. Speaking to Sawada, the Infinity driver described the run as super difficult, comparing the ultra-high traction to that of teammate Akio Sobue’s home track back in Japan. Not a fan of the conditions, he said that just a tiny input on the transmitter resulted in huge steering, admitting that it was super difficult to complete the 6 minutes without a mistake. MR33 steel under battery weights Posted: 15 Nov 2019 01:32 PM PST Coming from Marc Rheinard’s MR33 brand are several new under battery weights that help to fine-tune the weight balance of 1/10th touring and off-road cars. The range includes a 28g 0.6mm weight for standard-length LiPos, a 20g 0.6mm shorty weight, as well as 50g 1.0mm, 75g 1.5mm and 100g 2.0mm weights for Yokomo’s YZ-2 range of off-road buggies. The latter three are available separately or in a convenient 3-piece set. Using the weights will help to optimise the chassis weight balance when using lightweight or low-profile batteries or when added weight is beneficial, such as running in high-bite or very bumpy track conditions. All weights are of a dark colour and they come laser-engraved for easy identification. Source: Tonisport [tonisport.de] The post MR33 steel under battery weights appeared first on Red RC. |
