Exotek 8ight-XE aluminium optionals Posted: 27 Nov 2019 04:38 AM PST Coming from Exotek is a range of aluminium optionals for the TLR 8ight-XE 1/8th scale electric buggy. First up is a cooling motor mount whose 7075 alloy construction offers improved motor cooling because the stock rubber gaskets are removed therefore allowing the motor heat to directly transfer through the mounts and into the chassis. In addition, a fan bar is included that attaches to the motor mounts allowing the use of a high powered 40mm cooling fan. The new universal 1/8th scale motor clamping style also makes for easier motor install and removal by simply removing the two upper clamps to lift the motor right up and out. Lastly the motor position has been lowered by 1.5mm for a lower centre of gravity. Also new is a factory style heavy-duty 7075 alloy centre bulkhead set that also includes the carbon fibre top brace. The alloy construction maintains proper gear mesh for longer gear life and reduces the chance of stripped screws coming loose in a race. Last but not least is the heavy-duty factory style 7075 alloy steering crank set for the 8ight-X and 8ight-XE. The polished black finish with silver chamfer construction for heavy-duty race use reduces the chance of stripped screws coming loose in a race.
