WRC Racing SBX.1 1/8th nitro off-road buggy Posted: 06 Dec 2019 07:42 AM PST Following a couple of teaser images on social media, WRC Racing from Italy have finally lifted the curtain and officially unveiled their all-new SBX.1 1/8th nitro off-road buggy. Known for their popular on-road kits, the SBX.1 buggy is a first for the company and it builds on a 7075-T6 aluminium chassis that is designed to adapt the vehicle to a wide range of track conditions. The drivetrain is equipped with CVD driveshafts throughout, it features an industry standard 3-differential drivetrain with hardened lightweight outdrives and included in the kit is also a 7075-T6 aluminium clutch with captured clutch bell. The designers adopted a pivot ball front steering knuckle setup for the suspension that allows a wide range of adjustments including caster, camber, upper roll centre, bump steering as well as track width. Front and rear arms are side to side interchangeable, and it is possible to choose three different hardness materials for each one, hard, medium or soft. The rear hubs are designed in order to allow a variety of upper camber link positions and to allow the adjustment of the upper and lower roll centre, camber gain and more. Other features of the buggy include front and rear 7075-T6 aluminium shock towers to which mount big bore shock absorber. The buggy is decked out by a cab forward body shell and it will become available very soon. Xray T4 aluminium ball bearing hubs Posted: 06 Dec 2019 05:56 AM PST Xray have introduced their black colour aluminium ball bearings hubs for the front and rear bulkheads of the T4 touring car. Formerly only available in orange colour, the new variants feature a black surface coating and white laser-etched markings for easy identification and a cool new look. Using the aluminium hubs over the standard kit composite items will reduce natural drivetrain drag as the bearings are less pinched, resulting in a more free spinning drivetrain which is essential especially for stock racing classes. The hubs come in sets of two and they are usable on all T4 series cars. Source: Xray [teamxray.com] The post Xray T4 aluminium ball bearing hubs appeared first on Red RC. |

Posted: 06 Dec 2019 12:05 AM PST Coming from RPM and made for the popular Traxxas X-Maxx truck is a roof skid rail set. Using the rails will protect the precious body when the 8kg truck tumbles on its roof, ensuring the polycarbonate shell will hold up longer even when excessively used. The roof skid pails are a simple add-on that bolts to the roof of the truck using three screws for each rail. Full-length under body support plates are included to prevent the rails from getting yanked off once the driver flips the monster X-Maxx. The rails are tested to work with Traxxas #7711, #7711A, #7717G, #7711R and #7711X bodies only. They have not been tested nor are they guaranteed to work with any other Traxxas or aftermarket bodies. RC Maker 3D Pro ESC wire organiser Posted: 05 Dec 2019 11:52 PM PST RC Maker have introduced their new ESC wire organiser for the use with most brushless electronic speed controllers. Wiring is difficult, especially on the new mid motor chassis with the ESC behind the motor. The belt is in the way and there really isn’t much room. That is why the designers have gone and made it a whole lot easier for the drivers. 3-D-printed from high quality composite material, the wire organiser keeps all three motor wires, plus the sensor wire bunched together, and stuck down. The part is also very useful for keeping the wires organised in 1/12th on-road, and 1/10th off-road chassis and it accepts any wires, 12 gauge or smaller, and all sensor wires, flat or bunched. The organisers is usable floating or taped down using optional double sided tape. Source: RC Maker [rcmaker.com.au] The post RC Maker 3D Pro ESC wire organiser appeared first on Red RC. |
