Bezerk roll out new XB2’20 carbon fibre optionals Posted: 30 Dec 2019 04:36 AM PST Bezerk from Australia have announced the release of new carbon fibre option parts for the Xray XB2 2020 buggy. First up is a beefed up front tower that has material added in strategically placed areas in order to improve rigidity. The shock stay mimics the standard suspension geometry and it is available in 3.0mm, 4.0mm and 5.0mm glossy carbon fibre. Also new are several rear shock tower variants. In the XB2’s “dirt mode”, the rear camber links end up on quite a forward facing angle, putting lots of stress on the plastic mount and restricting the amount that the rear arm can twist under drive load. By moving the inner ball studs to the tower this reduces this angle and provides a more reliable mounting for them. The holes are spaced in 2mm increments, this simulates 0mm, 2mm and 4mm on the kit mount. Bezerk offer four camber link hole width variants of extra short, short, medium and long, with short and long reflecting the kit widths. The towers are made from 4.0mm glossy carbon fibre. Next up are front bulkhead shims that allow to lower the front roll centre by fitting the shims between the chassis and lower bulkhead. They are slotted to make fitment an easier process. The kit comes with one 0.5mm shim and one 1.0mm shim. Made for the rear hubs is a 6-piece set of shims that allow to fine-tune the camber link length. The kit includes two 0.5mm shims, two 1.0mm shims and two 2.0mm shims. Last but not least comes a battery hooks set. Designed to mimic the kit parts but made from carbon, the adjustable hooks are made from 2.0mm material with the kit allowing fore and aft adjustment so drivers can retain the setup sheet positions. The upper tabs are made from 3.0mm carbon. Two sets of carbon spacers of 2.0 and 4.0mm come in the kit for plenty of height adjustment.
