Jasmin & Soulignac win at French EP On-road Nats Rd1

The opening round of the French 1/10th Electric On-road nationals was held in Rumilly in the eastern part of the country. The first of five rounds attracted about 75 drivers to compete in four classes on the famous indoor asphalt track that offered high traction and a challenging layout. The weekend started off with free practice on Friday and resumed with more practice and the first qualifiers on Saturday. In the Touring Modified class Loic Jasmin took the overall TQ after winning three of the five qualifiers to put his car on pole position in front of Alexandre Duchet and Cyril N’Diaye.

In the finals, run on Sunday afternoon, the track conditions changed a bit due to the sun shining outside which affected overall grip available. In the opening A-main TQ holder Loic made a mistake about four laps into the race which cost him about two seconds but he was able to regain the lead only to loose it again after being hit by a backmarker and touching a curb, but ultimately Loic was able to bring home the win in the last lap of the opening A-main. A2 then was a pretty straight forward affair for the pole position holder as behind him loads of carnage happened, allowing him to bring home the win and with it the overall victory from Remi Callens second and Cyril N’Diaye third.

Miguel Blanco wins at Venezuelan ISTC Nationals Rd2

Round two of the Venezuelan ISTC National Championship was recently held and the race saw Armando Lenzi taking the overall TQ after some fierce battles with team mate Miguel Blanco in the qualifiers. The A-mains started off pretty well for both drivers with Miguel coming out fastest in the opening leg but a clash between the two in A2 meant Andres Trigo would be able to come out fastest in the second main. The third and final main would bring the decision between the two and it was Miguel who took the win for the overall with Armando coming in second and Adres rounding out the podium in third.

Made of high-quality aluminium and coming with a polished finish, the pipe was designed especially for the use with the Ultimate Engines M3T and other O.S. based power plants. The pipe provides precise and linear throttle response in the low to mid RPM range as well as an optimised power curve and fuel economy, increasing the runtime by almost a minute depending on the track conditions and grip. Mugen MGT7 Type B2 1/8th GT body shell

Moulded from 1mm thick high-quality polycarbonate the body made by Team Titan/Blitz comes including rear wing, window masks, decal sheet and wing mounting hardware and it is usable on Mugen’s own MGT7 as well as all GT kits of similar dimensions.

Answer RC introduce new D8 series option parts

UK company Answer RC have introduced a range of new option parts for the HB Racing D8 series of kits. First up are front and rear carbon fibre arm covers whose purpose is to stiffen the monocoque arm and give a less flexible suspension setup while reducing traction a little bit. The covers are ideal in high-grip situations or to tune the handling of the car and they come as separate sets for the front and the rear of the D817, E817, D815, D812 and RGT8.

Next up are serrated brake discs for the D8-series nitro kits. They offer enhanced performance due to increased airflow and reduced heat build up which is especially critical in longer finals. The set includes two discs that are usable on the D817 down to the D812 and also the RGT8 on-road kit. Also new in the range is a pair of orange anodised aluminium shock spring retainers for all D8 kits and also an offset servo arm that offers improved durability and less flex.

Core RC 1/10th off-road big bore springs

Schumacher have introduced the new Core RC big bore springs for 1/10th off-road buggies. The high-quality progressive springs allow the car to float over bumps but not roll too much during cornering and the consistent wire diameter means that the characteristics of each spring is similar, giving a consistent performance across the range. The stiffness increment between springs is very small, allowing fine adjustment of the suspension. Available now are the medium “orange” 4.3lbs and “yellow” 4.6lbs springs and to enable the big bore springs to be used on small bore shocks Schumacher have release two optional converters for the top of the spring, enabling better seating. The bottom of the spring fits regular small bore shock bottoms.

Kawada F501WS & NS 1/10th formula chassis kits

Japanese company Kawada have released first information on their forthcoming F501WS and NS 1/10th formula car kits. Both base off of their respective F500 variants with the WS being the 200mm wide foam kit and the NS representing the 180mm rubber tyre variant. Included in both kits is the KF200 cross battery chassis conversion that was designed with transversal battery mounting in mind that helps traction in low to medium-bite conditions while an in-line battery placement is also possible. Both the F501WS and NS kits will hit the stores in late April.

RPM Traxxas blue heavy duty camber links

Coming from RPM and made for the Traxxas e-Rustler and e-Stampede 2WD trucks are heavy duty camber links. Moulded from tough and virtually indestructible nylon material the links replace the standard parts on Traxxas’ popular 2WD trucks for improved durability. Included in the set are four camber links, two for the front and two for the rear of the truck.

Potter & Shank win at Top Gun Carpet Shootout

The Top Gun Carpet Shootout was held in Kennewick, Washington. In the 2WD Modified Buggy class Jeremy Potter (Xray) took the overall win coming from the 4 spot on the grid. Wins in A1 and A3 secured him the victory from Austin Azure (Xray) in second and Kason Russel (Kyosho) third. In the 4WD Modified Buggy class Darren Shank would end the day on he highest step of the podium, leading an Xray 1-2-3 from Jeremy Potter in second and Kevin Searl third.
