RDRP B6 aluminium front bulkhead Posted: 24 Apr 2017 08:55 AM PDT Revolution Design Racing Products’ aluminium front bulkhead for the Team Associated B6 series of 2WD buggies was designed to replace the standard part with a more sturdy and durable item. The bulkhead comes machined from aircraft-grade 7075-T6 aluminium and its directional design allows to run 25 degree or 30 degree kick-up angle while the anodised surface and silver edge details add visual impact. The aluminium part adds rigidity and precision when the point gets tough and when racing on high-bite surfaces. The part fits both the B6 and B6D and it is available in black or blue anodising. Cody King wins at JBRL Nitro Series Rd1 Posted: 24 Apr 2017 08:38 AM PDT Round one of the 2017 Jimmy Babcock Racing League Nitro Series was held at the Pro-Line Raceway in Banning, California this past weekend. In the Expert Buggy class HB Racing’s Cody King would take the winning honours in the 15-minute main final from Mugen’s Adam Drake while top qualifier, Austin Blair (SWorkz) had to settle for third overall. Collari & Mazzeo win at Italian Nitro On-road opener Posted: 24 Apr 2017 07:13 AM PDT The opening round of the Italian Nitro On-road National Championship was held at the Fiorano track over the weekend. In the 1/8th Expert class, 9-times World Champion, Infinity’s Lamberto Collari took the win in the highly contested main final with Shepherd’s Marco Vanni coming in 2nd and Infinity’s Dario Balesti rounding out the podium in 3rd. In the 1/10 200mm Expert class it was Alessio Mazzeo (Xray) to take the win from Dante Piersante (Xray) in 2nd and Mario Spiniello (BMT) 3rd. In the 1/8th F2 class young Marco Bianchi took his ARC to victory while in the in the 200mm F1 class Capricorn’s Manuel Strano came out fastest in the A-main final. Shepherd Velox V8 aluminium middle bearing block Posted: 24 Apr 2017 06:57 AM PDT Shepherd have introduced an updated aluminium middle bearing block for the Velox V8 WC and Simon Kurzbuch Edition kits. The updated bearing block sports an extension for the muffler spring mount, moving the respective mounting position away from the top deck, and by doing so, the part eliminates any unwanted influence on the flex characteristics of the radio plate. Made from high-quality 7075-T6 aluminium the middle bearing block is part of a running change for all new kits and also available separately as direct replacement. Containing redesigned front and rear carbon fibre shock towers, the set also utilises 1.2mm longer shock bodies and pistons that improve handling on bumpy tracks. Using the shocks furthermore increases overall grip at the expense of a bit of agility. The kit is rounded out by new aluminium spring pre-load nuts. In the 45-minute main final it was Pedro Miguel Sousa who took the win some two laps in front of Fernando Almeida with Ricardo Abreu completing the top 3 podium result some two seconds short of Fernando. Taking the standard Magna wing as a basis, the HD variant is made of 20 percent thicker polycarbonate material while also being wider, resulting in improved overall durability but also weight, the latter increasing body roll in corners which can be beneficial in lower grip conditions.
