WRC GT Due 1.4 1/8th nitro on-road kit

Coming soon from WRC Racing is the GT Due 1.4 1/8th scale nitro on-road classic kit. The car is an evolution step of the GT Due ’13, it is based on a 7075 aluminium chassis and features rigid suspension parts that do away with the need to use shock absorbers while still allowing to adjust parameters such as front toe, camber and castor angles as well as rear toe and camber settings. The 2WD drivetrain uses a rear beltdrive system and a large disc brake mounted to the rear differential case. Other features include a single speed gearbox, a new fuel tank, a new carbon fibre radio plate and new servo mount.

Caroli & Laubscher take South-African 1/12th scale titles

The 2017 season of the South African On-Road Electric 1/12th scale National Championship recently concluded and in the Modified class Antonio Caroli managed to win the title in a great battle with Hein Kotze, Shaun Schutte, Marius van Niekerk and Andre Greeff. Over in 1/12th Stock 13.5T, the series hosted a great battle between the youngsters Brandon Solomon and Francois Laubscher with Francois managing to take the title.

Jarno Pijpers joins SWorkz

SWorkz have announced the signing of Dutch frontrunner, Jarno Pijpers to their team. Jarno will be running the company’s 1/8th and 1/10th scale kits in the 2018 season and he has the following to say about the deal:

The past years were some really good ones I was able to take the Dutch championship. I am really impressed by the SWorkz cars and the support of the team. In the winter I drive 2wd and 4wd 1:10. 1:8 nitro is the main class, I will drive the E-Buggy too in the Dutch championship. Specials thanks to Max Sonnleitner, MW RC Cars and SWorkz Europe.

Schelle YZ-2 DTM ceramic ball bearing set

Coming from Schelle Racing Innovations and made for the World Championship winning Yokomo YZ-2 DTM Maifield Edition buggy is a complete set of ceramic ball bearings. The set contains 14 ceramic bearings and eight Onyx steering bearings with the ceramic metal shield bearings are part of the Black Diamond series which means they are for all-out, spare no expense racing.

New merchandise from Pro-Line

Coming from Pro-Line is new merchandise in the form of a zip-up hoodie and two T-shirts. Starting with the hoodie, the OP black zip-up sweater features the Pro-Line logo on top of the three multi-coloured stripes with the words Off-Road Performance subtly displayed. A Pro-Line logo is emblazoned across the left forearm to finish off the look and the jacket is available in adult S to XXL sizes. Also featuring the new OP logo is the blue T-shirt, available in adult S to XXL sizes and the new range is finished off by the charcoal grey Established tee that is featuring collegiate style bold Pro-Line branding on the front, and a small Pro-Line logo emblazoned across the upper back.

Traxxas introduce new 4-Tec 2.0 optionals

Traxxas have introduced a range of optional parts for the 4-Tec 2.0 4WD on-road chassis in the form shock springs, transmission gears, centre driveshafts, wheels and more. First up are four optional spring rates that help to match 4-Tec 2.0’s performance to any track and driving style. The range includes 4.075, 4.4, 3.25 and 2.8 rate springs that add to the existing 3.7 rate, the latter is now also available in pink, green and blue colour whereas the additional rates come with a red coating and colour codes for easy identification.

The optional 29T, 35T, and 55T speed gears included with the 4-Tec 2.0 XL-5 and VXL are now available separately, along with the strengthened steel centre driveshaft used in the VXL model. Anodised aluminium servo saver nuts and centre driveshaft are also available to add a touch of style to the chassis. Finally, two new wheel and tyre combos add a dash of colour to the ride. The tyres are VXL rated for high speed runs and come pre-glued and ready to mount.

T-Works T4’18 brass motor mount plate

Made for Xray’s T4’18 electric touring car kit is T-Works’ new brass motor mount plate. The item is machined from high-quality brass material, it sports a black surface coating for wear and machined edge details for looks. It matches the T4’s 2018 specification Multi-Flex geometry and adds weight to one of the most central parts of the chassis.

Pro-Line Dodge Power Wagon & Sumo truck bodies

Pro-Line have introduced two new trail truck body shells in the form of the 1946 Dodge Power Wagon for 313mm wheelbase crawlers and the Sumo for 254mm wheelbase vehicles. Starting with the Power Wagon, the body was designed for scale crawlers and it features separate cab and bed pieces for an ultra-realistic look that stays true to the original military inspired 4×4 truck that civilians could buy. The 1946 Power Wagon features a huge, menacing flat front grill with large flat panel style fender flares just like the real truck. The body includes textured rocker panels, realistic undercuts and separate round headlights designed to allow for real working LED lights, all of which complete the look of this iconic truck.

Next up is the Sumo for 254mm wheelbase crawlers such as the ECX Barrage, FTX Outback and other 10” wheelbase scale crawlers. It features a classic mini SUV body style that captures the essence of popular full size off-road warriors. The Sumo body has been modified with the “hard top” removed exposing the trunk area allowing you to customise the look of the truck with scale accessories.

Raceform EB410 wing raiser with diffusor

Coming from Raceform and made for Tekno RC’s EB410 buggy is a high wing mount with under wing diffusor. The translucent part was designed to raise the somewhat low wing mounting area of the buggy to make it usable for most aftermarket wings as it allows for enough clearance for the tyres even under full suspension compression. In addition its design with an integrated under-wing diffusor will create additional downforce which can be beneficial on low-grip tracks or when additional stability in high speed corning is needed. The mount is CNC machined from high-compact polycarbonate, at 8 grams it is both lightweight and strong and its larger surface area also improved wing life.

Mugen Seiki fluid & parts bag

Made to hold a variety of fluid bottles or accessories is Mugen Seiki’s new fluid and parts bag. The zipped bag will hold up to 26 bottles of Flash Point diff and shock oils and it can also be used to store nitro engines, parts, tools, and chargers. The bag measures 25x20x11cm and features a stitched Mugen Seiki logo and a carrying handle.
