RDRP B64 Type B carbon fibre shock towers Posted: 05 Dec 2017 06:58 AM PST Coming from Revolution Design Racing Products and made for the Team Associated B64 buggies are the new Type B carbon fibre shock towers. First up is the front shock stay that utilises an updated geometry with the upper link mounting positions sitting in an in-between position between the standard inner and outer rows. This lets the camber link ball stud sit in a row with the lower hinge pin for a greatly improved suspension geometry. The rear shock tower, just like the front part, utilises the updated geometry with only a single row of mounting holes and it sports an updated design for improved looks and greater durability, but on top of this an additional lower camber link hole allows for an optimised rear roll centre which can be beneficial in a variety of track conditions. Both the front and rear shock stays are cut from high-quality carbon fibre and they fit both the B64 and B64D buggies. Based on the Type B rear shock tower comes the Type B -2mm that is a direct fit on the Team Associated B64 kits that use the AE #92010 2mm gearbox spacer. It features an updated geometry with the upper shock mounting positions being 2mm lower compared to the standard geometry to bring the overall geometry and up travel back to where it belongs. All three shock stays feature RDRP’s updated design for much improved stability and durability. Source: RDRP [revolution-rc.com] |

The second new part is the extra heavy duty “B” suspension hanger block for the EB410. The final alloy part is the 7075 aluminium centre bulkhead. It eliminates the flex around the centre diff and does away with the play at the bearing mount to prevent stripped spur gears with high powered motors.
