Mirko Salemi signs with WRC Racing

WRC Racing have announced the signing of Italian frontrunner Mirko Salemi to their factory team. Mirko will campaign the company’s 1/8th and 1/10th nitro on-road kits in his upcoming campaign that will see appearances at national and international level events.

Alfred Lao sweeps Arrowmax Cup China Rd3

The third round of the Arrowmax Asia Race Cup was held in GuanZhou recently and it saw Xray’s Alfred Lao taking the top qualifier honours in the Touring Modified class. In the opening A-main it was again Alfred on top but in A2 he made an unforced error which ended his race. For A3 the up and coming racer was reminded to keep his cool and this was exactly what he did and by bringing home the win in A3 he also secured himself the overall win from Zhang Zhou (Serpent) 2nd and Li Cong (Serpent) 3rd.

Jason Frank TQs & wins at Turkey Hangover

Southside Raceway in Lake City, Florida hosted the 2017 Turkey Hangover recently. In Intermediate Nitro Buggy it was Xray’s Jason Frank with a TQ in round 1 and a 2nd place in round 2 to start the 20-minute A-main from 1st on the grid. A couple minutes in Jason would find himself about 15 seconds ahead of second place. He would be able to maintain the lead from tone to tone and take the win from Xray teammate, Blake Raulerson 2nd and Soar Seiki’s Joey Perez 3rd.

William Piper wins at 2017 Gobbler race

The 2017 Gobbler race was held at RC Excitement in Fitchburg with the event drawing over 170 entries. In 4WD Modified Buggy it was Jared Phair (Xray) with the TQ from Xray teammate William Piper in 2nd. In the main, William was able to take advantage of a small bobble, and get around Jared which he was just able to hang on to as Jared was coming hard, but in the end William took it with Jared 2nd and TLR’s Caleb Jennings in 3rd.

HPI Racing’s SCM-2S WP is a small and powerful electronic brushed motor speed controller that is suitable for micro RC vehicles of all types. The speedo is also fully waterproof, making it the good choice for anyone who enjoys driving their car in wet conditions. Spencer Rivkin doubles at Top Gun Shootout

The 7th annual Top Gun Shootout was held at SD/RC Raceway in San Diego, California with a 250+ entry. In the 2WD and 4WD Modified Buggy classes, Spencer Rivkin lead a Team Associated 1-2-3 as Ryan Cavalieri and Jake Mayo rounded out the top 3 podiums in both categories. Over in Expert 13.5 4WD it was Rudy Rico with the win from Ron Devoll and Jimmy Wright while Rick Devoll brought home the win in 17.5 Stock Buggy from Wayne Wyrick and James Gallatin.

HRC Distribution have introduced the new HRC Racing Dual Star Pro multi-chemistry AC/DC charger. Offering two 200W charge outputs and an LiHV mode, the device is capable of up to 20A charge current with the internal balancers sporting a swift 1A balancing drain for fast charging. In addition the charger features two back-lit LCD screens, dual 4-button programming and an integrated 400W power supply.

Coming from RC Speed Secrets and made for the Tekno RC EB410 buggy are the new 2x 1.7 + 2x 1.0 and 2x 1.6 + 2x 1.0 Next Level Cheater shock pistons. CNC-machined from high-quality Delrin material the pistons offer the 4-hole “Competition Hole” setup with two larger and two smaller holes for improved suspension performance and handling. The 1.7 pistons are best used in the front of the buggy while the smaller 1.6 variant excels in the rear of the EB410. The pistons come as pairs and they are available now.

2018 Philippine Masters – Announcement

The 2018 Philippine Masters will be held from the 4th to the 6th of May at the Circulo Verde track in Quezon City, Philippines. Classes run will be 1/8 Nitro Buggy and 1/8 Nitro Truggy and the event is organised by the Voice of RC, Scotty Ernst.
