Martin Bayer sweeps XRS Slovakia Rd3 Posted: 11 Dec 2017 02:14 AM PST The third round of Xray Racing Series Slovakia was held at the Hudy Arena. In the 2WD Buggy class it was Martin Bayer who took a pretty easy TQ with Max Gotzl in 2nd after great run in Q3 and Kaja Novotny in 3rd. 4WD Buggy was a different story with Martin and Kaja swapping the lead multiple times during the qualifiersn and eventually it was Martin who took overall TQ. Few seconds back each run was another duo of Adam Izsay and Max Gotzl fighting for 3rd place and in the end Adam prevailed. In the Truck class Martin was on another level and took his third TQ of the day with Kaja Novotny in 2nd place and Max Gotzl starting 3rd. In the opening 2WD A-main, Martin pulled away quickly, but then made two mistakes which gave Kaja the lead as he managed to get by Max and eventually take the win. I A2 Martin put down a flawless run and took the win with Kaja again 2nd and Max 3rd. In A3, both Martin and Kaja kept basically same distance between them whole five minutes and Martin brought home the win. 2WD final results: The opening 4WD A-main was pretty much copy of the 2WD A1 as Martin and Kaja kept the same starting distance between them whole run and just one mistake decided and Kaja would take the win In A2, everything looked set for another good fight, but then Kaja made huge mistake and dropped down to 5th place and only managed to get 3rd with Martin 1st and Adam Izsay 2nd. An unfortunate DNS in A3 meant that Kaja finished 2nd overall and Adam Izsay completed the top 3 as Martin brought home another overall win. 4WD final results: In the Truck class Martin continued in his dominance and won all three mains to leave Max Gotzl behind in 2nd place from Kaja Novotny 3rd.
