EcoPower Electron 2S 800mAh LiPo receiver battery Posted: 19 Dec 2017 09:43 AM PST AMain have expanded their range of EcoPower Electron LiPo battery packs by several softcase variants. Usable for RC car applications is the 2S 7.4V 800mAh 25C pack with JST connector that will make a lightweight receiver battery in many nitro applications. Denny Giacomelli wins at Friendly Cup Rd2 Posted: 19 Dec 2017 06:48 AM PST The second round of the Italian Friendly Cup was held at the RC-Evolution track recently. After the three round of qualifiers it was Denny Giacomelli with the pole position for the A-mains from Beggio Gianluca 2nd and Daniele Monzani 3rd. The opening A-main was won by Daniele Monzani while the win in the second and third leg went to Denny Giacomelli who also took the overall from Daniele Monzani and Diego Locatelli in 2nd and 3rd respectively. 0.5mm carbon fibre suspension shims for IF14 Posted: 19 Dec 2017 06:18 AM PST Designed specifically for the Infinity IF14 are 0.5mm carbon fibre suspension shims. The parts are machined from high-quality carbon fibre and are designed to increase the track width by 1mm, whilst leaving the driver with maximum toe and roll-centre options and making the car easier to drive in medium and high-grip conditions. The suspension mount shims are simply bolted between the suspension holders of the car and the bulkhead. The shims are sold in sets of four, and they become available at the beginning of 2018 here. The capacitor module will improve overall motor power and torque especially in the second half of a run when the battery is starting to fade, resulting in better lap times and more consistency. Alessandrelli & Schmid win at TIT Cup Rd2 Posted: 19 Dec 2017 05:00 AM PST The second round of the TIT Cup was held in Schöfltand, Switzerland in several electric on-road classes. In Touring Pro Stock it was Roberto Alessandrelli (Xray) with the win from the Team Magic duo of Philipp Huber and Renato Isler. Andy Huerzeler and Adrian Lüscher would round out the top 5 result. Jared Phair sweeps Time To Let It Rip Trophy race Posted: 19 Dec 2017 04:15 AM PST The Time To Let It Rip Trophy race was held this past weekend at Barnstormers RC in Chester, New York. Different than other tracks in the area, this track was very tight and was 100 percent dirt. No clay, no tyre saucing or softening, just simple green and water was the ticket for tyre prep. Jared Phair would take the double TQ, coming out on top in Modified 4WD Buggy and 2WD Buggy. Ultimately Jared would also bring home the win in both classes, with Jack Bonhomme and Scott Salzer coming in 2nd and 3rd respectively in the 4WD class while the top 3 was completed by Mike Billings and Frank Babriecki. Distrital Coimbra Series Rd3 – Report Posted: 19 Dec 2017 03:50 AM PST This past weekend the third round of the Distrital Coimbra Series was held in Oliveira de Frades, Coimbra, Portugal. In the Nitro Buggy it was Team Associated driver, Nuno Filipe Ferreira who took the day’s win from HB Racing’s Joel Soares in 2nd, the latter having an entertaining A-main has he had to start from the pits following an engine flame out at the start of the final, but still managed a podium result. Adam Drake wins at RC Pro Series finals Posted: 19 Dec 2017 03:27 AM PST The RC Pro Series finals here held this past weekend at Indy RC World and it was Tekno RC’s Ryan Lutz who took the overall TQ in the Pro Nitro Buggy class from Mugen’s Adam Drake 2nd and Team Associated’s Jake Dellinger 3rd. The hour-long A-main then saw Adam coming out on top, taking the win by a narrow 1.3 seconds in front of Tekno’s Ryan Lutz, the latter coming back from a 95 second lap running out of gas. Jake Dellinger again rounded out the top 3, a result that earned him the overall title in the Pro Nitro Buggy class. Tyler Hooks (Tekno RC) and Noah Dickerson (Xray) would complete the top 5 results.
