JConcepts Triple Dees 1/8th truck tyre Posted: 29 Dec 2017 06:43 AM PST JConcepts have introduced their new Triple Dees 1/8th truck tyre. Based off of the iconic Double Dees design the tread was developed for loose and tacky track conditions that require small pin designs. Starting with finely spaced square mini lugs, the JConcepts design team spent considerable time proofing this design. Centre bar structure is important for wear characteristics and an overlapping and blended centre bar was created. The bar draws up the side of the pin to maintain all important support but the main stance is low so the tyre maintains its clean-out ability during acceleration. The main-stay of the design is the angled and sharp pins which spread across the carcass in an open pattern touching off the track surface like no other. Near the side-wall the pins have been trimmed and angled to give racers a smooth driving experience as they enter and exit tacky turns or slightly rough terrain. Available in grippy compounds such as blue, green and long-wear R2 the new tyres are packaged in reusable packaging for freshness and convenience and they come including grey Dirt-Tech inserts. ARC R8.1E 1/8th electric on-road kit Posted: 29 Dec 2017 02:31 AM PST Coming soon from ARC is their new R8.1E 1/8th scale electric on-road car kit. It is based on the successful R8.0E platform with some new features such as a redesigned front bulkhead that now utilises an adjustable belt tension so the driver can adjust both the front and middle belt tension easily. The rear bulkhead adapts an all-new design similar to the nitro version and the new anti-roll bar gives more rear end traction and stability. The transmission remains a 3-belt design and perfectly positions through the centre of the chassis, helping to centralise both the battery and motor location. It also comes with CVD drive shafts and light aluminium wheel axles on both front and rear sides for optimised performance. Also part of the package is an all-new rear suspension block. The R8.1E moves both the rear arms and shock tower to a more centred position with the longer arms increasing the traction and stability of the car. The car was developed and tested under the new 1/8th On-Road Racing Modified class rules and ARC recommend to use a 2800kv motor and dual 2S LiPo batteries. Source: ARC [arc-rc.com.tw] |

JConcepts MT410 protective overtray Posted: 29 Dec 2017 12:09 AM PST Coming from JConcepts and made for the Tekno RC MT410 monster truck is a protective overtray. When racing or bashing on a loamy or top-soil dirt surface, the inside of the MT410 chassis can become loaded with dirt or debris which creates extra weight. With the overtray these worries are minimised as the accessory fits snug around the entire chassis structure while being attached along the sides of the chassis with hook and loop tape for easy access. The overtray is built with height to provide extra room for various electrical and battery configurations but is still low enough for a clean fit and installation. There is a slight opening at the front-end which manoeuvres around the steering assembly and top-deck and also an open rear-end to provide some natural air-flow in and out of the closure. The tray has large front and rear trim-able openings which can be detailed for air-in and escape. The overtray comes clear and untrimmed. Source: JConcepts [jconcepts.net] |
