Jose Felix wins at Portuguese IC Track Nats Rd3 Posted: 12 Jun 2018 08:29 AM PDT Last weekend’s third round of the Portuguese IC Track Nationals held in Monsanto not only saw the win of Bruno Coelho in the 1/10th 200mm class but also Jose Felix sweeping the 1/8th Nitro category. After taking the TQ Jose was also able to score the fastest lap and win in front of Vasco Sousa. In 3rd Alexandre Pereira rounded out the podium result. Sammy Moran double TQs & wins Mid Summer Shootout Posted: 12 Jun 2018 08:11 AM PDT The Pro-Line Mid Summer Shootout was held at Coyote Hobbies Indoor RC Raceway last weekend and it was TLR’s Sammy Moran that would sweep the ultra competitive 13.5 Wheeler and 17.5T Expert Buggy classes. Eliot Watson (Tekno) in 2nd and Wayne Wyrick (TLR) in 3rd would round out the 13.5T 4WD podium as the TLR duo of Ty Owings and Wayne Wyrick completed the 17.5T Expert Buggy podium. The first products available are the Shield Tee in navy and maroon colours that features the white and gold RC Rad logo. The screen-printed Next Level #3600 premium fitted shirts are available in adult S to 3XL sizes. Also new is the 1-size-fits-all Shield hat with a grey/black RC Rad logo. Jessica Palsson wins at South Swedish Cup Rd2 Posted: 12 Jun 2018 06:01 AM PDT The city of Höör played host to round 2 of the South Swedish Cup last weekend. HB Racing’s Hampus Berg made a clean sweep in the qualifiers from Jessica Palsson (Kyosho), who suffered a bit from the aftermath of illness, however starting from the P2 spot onto the 30-minutes main final she still got all cards on the table for an even better result. In the end Jessica was able to bring home the win with a 23-seconds margin on 2nd placed Hampus Berg despite an extra fuel stop. HB Racing driver Oskar Levin rounded out the top 3 results. Traxxas TRX-4 Bronco body & new accessories Posted: 12 Jun 2018 04:53 AM PDT Coming from Traxxas and made for the TRX-4 scale trail truck is a load of new accessories. First up is a pre-painted 1979 Ford Bronco body shell that now also comes as an all-inclusive set including a black-painted body, trim, replica spare tyre, door mirrors, chromed door handles, and wipers for incredible scale detail. The kit also includes red and sunset pre-cut decals, chromed bumpers with push bar, and a rear body post. Also new is the long arm lift kit for the TRX-4, as visible in above image, that adds over one inch of ground clearance to TRX-4 models without compromising suspension or steering geometry. The kit includes longer arm links and shocks, taller springs, extended driveshafts, modified servo mount and all necessary hardware. They are available in standard gray or brilliant red or blue tough powder coated finishes. Last but not least are wheelbase conversion kits to adjust the TRX-4’s wheelbase the easy way with these two chassis conversion kits. Both kits include the appropriate shocks mounts, suspension links, and centre half shafts to lengthen or shorten your wheelbase. VCD introduce new 1/12th alloy chassis Posted: 12 Jun 2018 04:21 AM PDT Vantomme Carbon Designs have introduced their new aluminium chassis for the CRC XTi WC and SpeedMerchand Rev8 and Rev8.5 1/12th scale pan cars. The chassis is available in a standard and floating link variant with the two being usable for the CRC car while the floating link main plate can also be used on the SpeedMerchant Rev8 and 8.5. The chassis are a couple of millimetres shorter than the original part and wider in the front compared to the stock CRC main plate, while offering three servo and three transverse battery positions. Nicolas Bregante TQs & wins Metropolitan Champs Rd4 Posted: 12 Jun 2018 03:50 AM PDT The Speed Paradise track hosted round 4 of the Argentinean Metropolitan Championship recently and after taking the TQ in the qualifiers it was Nicolas Bregante (Xray) who also took the win in the 40-minutes long Nitro Buggy A-main. Lazzerini doubles at Italian UISP GT & SGT Champs Rd2 Posted: 12 Jun 2018 03:44 AM PDT Round 2 of the Italian UISP 1/8 GT & SGT Championship took place at the Monza with 56 drivers in attendance. Federico Lazzerini was the man to beat in the GT and SGT F1 categories and he also confirmed his qualifying performance by bringing home the wins in both categories with a few laps margin. The GT F1 podium was completed by Riccardo Ghidoni and Filippo Biancardi while the SGT F1 top 3 was rounded out by Daniele Stukul and Diego Pizzagalli. Source: BMT [bmt-team.com] |
Schumacher BTCC Rd3 & KO GP – Report Posted: 12 Jun 2018 02:33 AM PDT The 3rd round of the Schumacher BTCC incorporating the KO GP took place this last weekend at West London. Fine weather throughout saw some close racing with the drivers battling some hot tarmac. Schumacher’s Elliott Harper carried on his form from the last race with an excellent TQ and win in the Modified class. Elliott was followed closely by Xray’s Olly Jefferies and Team Associated driver, Matt White took 3rd overall. Touring Modified final results: Once again 13.5T Prostock was a proper fight between the Xray of Zak Finlay and the Schumacher of James Hart, these two entertained the watching field with an excellent final with Zak coming out on top from James with 1/12th European Champion Ollie Payne (Destiny) taking 3rd. 13.5T Prostock final results: Marcus Askell dominated 13.5T Blinky taking a comfortable victory from Adam Southgate and Alex Brocklebank. 13.5T Blinky final results: 17.5T Blinky top 3 was Soteris Liasi, Vasiliy Simonov and Dave Ringsell. 17.5T Blinky final results: Four Formula cars joined at this round with Steve Umney taking the win under immense pressure from Schumacher’s Mark Musgrove with Malcolm Norwood 3rd.
