JConcepts AE 6.1 aluminium C-block Posted: 09 Aug 2018 08:58 AM PDT Made for Team Associated’s 6.1 line of buggies and trucks is the new aluminium C-block from JConcepts. Available in blue and black colours, the precision-machined piece is carefully crafted to accept the standard Team Associated pill inserts. The suspension mounts are a critical piece of any vehicle, they provide the base for adjustments such as toe-in, anti-squat and wheel base. A stout suspension mount can go a long way to assuring your vehicle is technically correct and up to specification. The JConcepts mounts are light-weight enough for the weight conscious racer but beefy enough to stand-up to the rigours of high-end modified buggy racing. The mounts feature chamfer highlighted edging which improve the curb appeal and bring out the luster in any show or race ride. The C-block fit the B6.1, B6.1D, T6.1 and SC6.1 vehicles. Bezerk X10 Pro10 235mm conversion kits Posted: 09 Aug 2018 07:27 AM PDT Bezerk from Australia have introduced their new Pro and Basic Pro10 235mm conversion kits for Xray’s popular X10 World GT pan car. Starting with the Pro kit, a new wider 2.5mm thick front brace pumps out the width and uses the kit front suspension components. The new tweak plate provides two pickup points per side for the side dampers to make it compatible with older and newer models. LiPo location is also taken care of with suitable notch in the tweak plate. At 3.0mm Bezerk upped the thickness here to provide reliable support for both the side springs, damping and the body. The pod, pod upper plate and pod brace have been widened to suit the IRS axle. A 3mm ride height spacer is also included. Topdecks made from 2.5mm are provided to stiffen the chassis, an ideal upgrade for higher grip tracks. A revised front shock mount provides an extra hole for an integrated battery stop. The kit also includes a slotted upper servo plate to allow easy centralising of any servo. All parts are individually available in case any spares are needed. As for the Basic kit, it includes all needed parts to bring the chassis to 235mm specification, however it doesn’t include the topdecks, front shock mount and slotted servo plate. Vision Racing introduce new B6.1 & B64 options Posted: 09 Aug 2018 03:58 AM PDT Vision Racing have announced the release of a bunch of new carbon fibre option parts for the Team Associated B6.1 and B64 buggies. First up is a 5mm rear shock tower for the B6.1 and B6.1D. The tower has webbing for added strength and it incorporates micro tune shock positioning by adding a hole in between the one and two holes of the stock tower. In addition the back of the tower has a 1mm recess to keep the stock shock angle. Next up is a 2mm lower 5mm carbon fibre front tower for the B64 buggy. The tower lowers the shocks by 2mm and thus adds droop to the front end which helps the car on high-bite surfaces like carpet and astroturf. The tower has webbing for added strength and it incorporates micro tune shock positioning by adding a hole in between the one and two holes of the stock tower. The back is recessed 1mm to keep the stock shock angle. Also new is a 5mm rear shock tower that has the camber holes relocated over the hinge pins for better role characteristics. Like the other shock towers it is made of 5mm material, incorporates micro tune shock positioning for added adjustability. Last but not least is a 2.5mm carbon fibre centre brace for the Team Associated B64. This brace allows for more control over chassis flex characteristics with up to four holes to use. Using more holes stiffens the chassis while going with less adds flex. Source: Vision Racing [visionracing.net] |

Tyrollean Championship Rd3 – Report Posted: 09 Aug 2018 12:35 AM PDT The third round of the Tyrollean Championship was hosted by the AMC Tirol club and held at the Tirol Ring track with about 50 entries. The Touring Modified class only attracted eight drivers with the attendance of Dionys Stadler giving the class a real pro feeling. Of course it was Dionys who dominated the proceedings, including new lap and overall records while he took the win ahead of Aaron Tursky and Thomas Rinner. Once again Touring Stock was the most competitive class of the weekend with 26 entries. Already in the qualifiers the battle for the top spots was on and in the end and after some nice fights in the final A-mains, it was Marco Siegenthaler with the win in front of Florian Botzenhart and Bernhard Steinhauser. The Formula class only attracted three entries but all were in the position to take the overall win. In the end it was Christian Stöckl with the overall from Martin Stöckl and Nobuhiro Kanabe in 2nd and 3rd respectively. The popular Histocup class saw the attendance of eleven drivers with Stefan Santer looking to have an advantage over the remainder of the field already in the qualifiers. The final then were a done deal for Stefan who took the win from Markus Fleischmann and Pius Walleser. The final round of the championship will be held on the weekend of the 21st of October at the Europahaus Maxyrhofen in Maxyrhofen. Thanks to Christian Stöckl for the report. |
