JConcepts 1991 Ford Mustang Fox body shell Posted: 13 Aug 2018 10:05 AM PDT JConcepts has adapted the iconic 1991 Ford Mustang into a street eliminator machine with the introduction of their new 1991 Ford Mustang Fox body shell. The Mustang is intended for street racing and drops to popular SCT conversions and drag racing builds currently in the market. JConcepts looked to build on the street eliminator class by adding the “Fox Body” to the line-up. With past success used as a guideline, the R&D team spent time breaking down the early model Mustangs and arrived at the roughly 13” wheel base and 10.75” width. The size accommodates the trend of utilizing SCT trucks as drag racing platforms. The end result has a low-slung appearance, tight wheel well openings, hood-scoop, bobbed tail and an extended front fascia. As an addition the set includes a rear spoiler option which attaches with an under/over technique. Posted: 13 Aug 2018 08:26 AM PDT Nemo Racing have announced the soon release of the Performance Pack for the A215SV 1/8th off-road buggy. The set includes a new 1-piece lightweight wing mount with adjustable height for quick and easy adjustment to the downforce being created by the wing. Also new is a 5mm aluminium rear shock tower with updated shape and wing mount multi-fitment holes to house the new wing mount securely to the buggy. Updated A and B blocks with the same roll centre as the previous block but a new mounting position and shape allow for the front differential to be lifted by 4mm, this gives a better balance to the front and rear of the buggy whilst now also allowing for a quick release of the front diff from the gearbox casing. The new 5mm aluminium front shock tower with simplified upper link position and a 4mm lower shock mount height factor in the raised gearbox, maintaining the original shock positions when using the included composite front gearbox inserts for the new front gearbox position. Other new parts include new aluminium steering posts with a 4mm higher mounting position for the raised steering rack assembly and a new 4mm aluminium front chassis brace spacers brings up the front chassis brace position to the new front diff height. The kit is rounded out by 2mm aluminium steering link spacers to correct the steering link angle with the new steering rack height and also included are new 18mm countersunk M4 screws for the front gearbox assembly. Caleb Stevens sweeps Extreme Summer Series Slam Posted: 13 Aug 2018 07:33 AM PDT Extreme R/C Raceway of Spring Hill, Tennessee held the final round of their Extreme Summer Slam points series recently. The event attracted over 80 entries and it was Caleb Stevens who swept the 2WD Mod Buggy, 4WD Mod Buggy and Stadium Truck classes with three TQs and wins. By winning the 2WD and 4WD categories Caleb also brought home the overalls in 2WD Mod and 4WD Mod after the final round of the points series. Thanks to Caleb Stevens for the report. |

The multi-time ENS podium finisher, From my heart I would like to thank the Picco brothers for their cooperation over the past year and a half. I am looking forward to team up with with JP Gimar and Giovanni Crea in person. T-Works YZ series 5.5mm titanium ball studs Posted: 13 Aug 2018 03:07 AM PDT Coming from T-Works are new 5.5mm titanium ball studs for the Yokomo YZ-2 and YZ-4 series off-road buggies. The pivot balls are machined from high-quality 64 grade titanium and they are available in sets of two and in 6mm, 8mm, 10mm or 12mm specification – all are direct replacements for the original parts. Jones doubles at Joe Buck Points Series Rd2 Posted: 13 Aug 2018 02:42 AM PDT VCRC Raceway of Terre Haute, Indiana hosted round 2 of the Joe Buck Points Series this past weekend. Tyler Jones was in control of things in both the Nitro Buggy and E-Buggy classes as he grabbed the overall TQ and wins in both categories. Brad Dewey would come in 2nd in the 20-minute Nitro Buggy A-main as Gary Studt rounded out the top 3 results. The 10-minute E-Buggy A-main was pretty much a blueprint of the Nitro main with Tyler taking the win from Brad and Gary. Images: Tyler Jones |
Gunther van Staey takes Belgian 1/8th On-road title Posted: 13 Aug 2018 02:03 AM PDT The final round of the Belgian 1/8th On-road Championship was held at the Model Race Genk track this past weekend. Racing conditions on Sunday were pretty challenging due to a lot of dust on the track. Robin D’hondt would take the overall TQ a lap in front of Gunther Van Staey and Yves Zoma. The main final then again saw Robin out in front, taking the win some five laps in front of Gunther Van Staey as Yves Zoma rounded out the top 3 another lap down. Bradley Baird wins Irish National series Rd3 Posted: 13 Aug 2018 01:51 AM PDT Round 3 of the Irish National off-road series held once again at BADMCC venue due to a closure from another track. Bradley Baird took his buggies to a double TQ and victory in both Nitro and electric classes. Joona Haatanen takes doubles Finnish Buggy title Posted: 13 Aug 2018 01:29 AM PDT The third round of the Finnish 1/10th Buggy Nationals was held at the Joensuu astro turf track over the weekend. In the 2WD Buggy class Joona Haatanen took the overall TQ and he also secured himself the win after the triple A-mains from Karri Salmela 2nd and Jamiel Gabrielsson 3rd. Over in 4WD it was again Joona who excelled by taking the TQ an win from Karri Salmela. Konsta Saarinen would round out the top 3 result. Yeah Racing M3 aluminium servo washers Posted: 13 Aug 2018 12:48 AM PDT Yeah Racing have introduced their new threaded M3 aluminium servo mount washers. The were designed to ensure better and more reliable servo fitment as they fit into the servo’s mounting lugs, making for more evenly spread force while preventing the servo from moving under load or in the event of a crash. the washers come pre-threaded for easier installation and removal and they are available in red, blue or black colour.
