Exotek roll out new B6.1 series option parts Posted: 21 Aug 2018 01:22 AM PDT Coming from Exotek are three new option parts for Team Associated B6.1-based buggies and trucks. First up is a lightweight aluminium motor plate for vehicles using the laydown or layback transmission. The stealthy 2-colour anodised 7075 motor heatsink plate sports a polished black base with blue chamfered accents that go with stock plastic parts or after market blue parts. The black motor plate helps reduce motor temps while the built-in gear cover is stronger than the stock plastic cover to insure that the body does not press the cover onto the spur gear in hard tumbles. Also, the alloy material is kept in place around the motor and bolt screws to resist excess motor plate flex or bending but machined out elsewhere to reduce its weight to 12g. Lastly, the backside spacers are machined into the plate to provide more secure mounting to the gearbox. The plate is usable for the B6.1, T6.1 and SC6.1 vehicles. Also new is a 2-colour anodised alloy steering crank set for the B6.1, T6.1 and SC6.1. The alloy construction ensures precise steering input and heavy duty long lasting performance while the colour scheme suits both standard and hop-upped rides. Last but not least is a Lightweight polished titanium slipper bolt for all B6.1-based kits. Almost half the weight of the stock bolt at 2.2g, the titanium bolt lightens the rotating mass and lowers the centre of gravity. The part is a direct fit on the stock laydown top shaft and slipper and uses the stock slipper pin and hardware. Source: Exotek [exotekracing.com] |

Austrian 1/8th IC Track Nationals Rd4 – Report Posted: 20 Aug 2018 11:24 PM PDT The fourth round of the Austrian 1/8th IC Track Nationals was held at the MORAC track last weekend. The usual suspects of Mihelic and Pucher battled for the top spot on the 1/8th Nitro class. Setting the early pace in free practice on Saturday, Mihelic TQ’d while Pucher won the Super Pole with only one Lap to qualify directly to the main final. The 45-minute main final was a clean run for the pair that separated from the field by almost five laps, leaving behind their main competitor Gerhard Kandelhart in 3rd place. It was a pitty that Pucher ran out of fuel on his last stop at the 40-minute mark which prevented him from challenging Nejc to the end. This allowed Njec to bring home the win two laps in front of Pucher and another four laps in front of Kandelhart in 3rd. Winning three out of four races Nejc also secured his 4th title in a row with Pucher in 2nd and Kandelhart in 3rd. 1/8th Nitro top 3 results: In the 1/8th Electric Modified class Roland Schrenk lead and ARC 1-2-3 with Martin Schrenk and Helmut Höller coming in 2nd and 3rd respectively. 1/8th Electric Modified top 3 overall: Source: MW RC Cars [mwrccars.at] |
