Posted: 28 Aug 2018 09:09 AM PDT Once again the final round of the CTS3 was held at Speedworld Raceway in Roseville, California. As the points chase tightens up for the last round, racers brought their best game. In Modified Rick Hohwart led the series with Brandon Clements and David Jun tied for 2nd. In qualifying it was Brandon who locked up TQ and a die-hard finish to the end with applied pressure by Hohwart who then had bad luck on 2nd to last lap allowing Jun to get by but Jun ran out of time allowing Clements to clinch the overall title as he is crowned the 2018 CTS3 Champion for Modified Touring. In 17.5 Clements led the series with a huge gap in points with Lex Tyler in 2nd. In qualifying Clements showed pace and decided to sit Q3 locking up TQ. In the main Ryan Crabtree had P2 with JD Ramsey in P3. At the start the two collided allowing Lex Tyler to get by clean and from tone to tone Tyler would secure the win. Once again it was Brandon Clements taking the overall championship title in 17.5 with Lex Tyler in 2nd and JD Ramsey in 3rd. For USGT it was Clayton Young from Baltimore who secured the overall championship title with Doug Rebal in 2nd and Sebastian Valencia in 3rd. Louth R/C Car Club Winter Series – Announcement Posted: 28 Aug 2018 08:00 AM PDT The Louth Radio Control Car Club has announced the second running of its Schumacher Winter Series. Off the back of last year’s successful club championship, the rules and format have remained the same. The series has four different classes, 13.5 Blinky, 17.5 Open, GT12, and Tamiya Euro Trucks. The emphasis is on the racing, and not the size of the budget, or the equipment each driver has. The club has brought the feeling of a big event, with banners, race reports and pictures, but placed it within a club environment. Zergard Latrach wins at Campeonata Lattitude Rd4 Posted: 28 Aug 2018 07:14 AM PDT The fourth round of the Campeonata Lattitude 33 RC Chile took place in La Sirena, Chile. Gaston Zergard Latrach would TQ and take the top spot on the podium as JQ teammate Sebastian Azocar Lucchini would finish in 2nd place and Matias Sebastian Moreno Ampuero (Mugen) in 3rd place. The 1989 Ford body built and fit for the Traxxas Stampede offers first class styling and its exterior is accentuated with a smooth and moulded front and rear bumper. The must-have body of the 1980’s was featured on several of the most popular full-size monster trucks during this generation and always proved to be popular among the Ford enthusiasts and always wreaked havoc on the competition. The 1989 F-series carries over the same body style from the previous generation, yet sports a new rounded front clip that improves vehicle aerodynamics over its predecessors. The softened body lines around the rear of the bed and large fender arches around the wheel wells provides the scale monster truck look. The body features flush-fitting grille and headlights, wrap-around parking lights, a minimalist grille and an accurate and clean-looking Ford and JConcepts decal sheet. Tadahiko & Yuya Sahashi join Infinity Posted: 28 Aug 2018 06:34 AM PDT Reigning 1:8 Onroad World Champions Infinity have announced the signing of the sport’s most successful siblings – the Sahashi brothers. The well known Japanese brothers have been a leading force in nitro onroad racing and bring a wealth of knowledge the Japanese manufacturer bolstering its efforts for the 1:10 Onroad World Championships later this year. Both multiple World finalists, younger brother Tadahiko was crowned the 1:8 World Champion in 2013 with Yuya crowned 1:10 Vice-Champion the following year. With Yuya also making the podium at the 2015 1:8 World Championships, this was a particularly special moment for the popular brothers with Tadahiko also making the final in Brazil. The Sahashi pairing will spend the coming weeks getting familiar with Infinity’s new European Championship winning IF15 as preparation for their Worlds debut with Infinity at Homestead-Miami Speedway in the USA in October. Rob Janssen takes Dutch Touring Stock title Posted: 28 Aug 2018 06:29 AM PDT The fifth round of the Dutch Electric On-road Nationals was held in Utrecht recently. With two TQ runs Rob Janssen (Team Magic) would secure the pole position for the Touring Stock A-mains in front of Infinity’s Jitse Miedema. A1 was pretty much smooth sailing for Rob, however with the sun coming out for A2, things changed a bit on favour of Jitse who was hot on the heels of Rob for the entire main, however Rob brought home the win in A2 also, taking the day’s win and with it the overall title. Michal Orlowski doubles at oOple Invernational Posted: 28 Aug 2018 05:53 AM PDT The 2018 oOple Invernational was held at Robin Hood Raceway with some of the country’s fastest 1/10th off-road drivers as well as guests from abroad in attendance. In the 2WD Mod Buggy class it was Poland’s Michal Orlowski who set the pace, taking the TQ and the wins in the triple A-main events. Ben Jemison came in 2nd from Greg Williams 3rd. Hames Helliwell and Eugene Galley completed the top 5 result. Over in 4WD Mod Buggy it was again Michal with the TQ and win, leaving behind Wesley van Helmond in 2nd and James Helliwell 3rd. Greg Williams in 4th and Joe Howson in 5th rounded out the top 5. Machined from high-quality aluminium the trays offer three compartments to hold small parts during building setup and maintenance while two machined holes take ball differentials while filling them with fluid. William Skidmore wins at NRS Rd5 Posted: 28 Aug 2018 05:01 AM PDT The fifth round of this year’s NRS was hosted at the North West Nitro Track near Blackpool over the weekend. Agama’s William Skidmore took the TQ after the qualifiers and the win in the A-main, leaving behind Kyosho’s Kieran Cox in 2nd, a lap down. Tamiya Toyota Gazoo Racing WRT Yaris WRC TT-02 kit Posted: 28 Aug 2018 04:15 AM PDT The latest body shell variant of Tamiya’s popular TT-02 entry-level 4WD touring car is the Toyota Gazoo Racing WRT Yaris WRC. The shaft-driven chassis sports a longitudinal layout with the battery on the left and the motor on the right, giving great stability. In addition, it features identical left and right suspension arms and uprights for ease of assembly, plus easy-to-maintain gearboxes. It is a highly adaptable chassis, as it offers two different wheelbases, two ground clearance settings and two tread set-ups in addition to a range of ten possible gear ratios. It is not short on looks either, with brake disc-shaped wheel hubs and stylish front bumper supports. Gun metal colour dish wheels and tread-pattern tyres make for a racy finish.
