Carisma 4Y24 1/24th 4WD buggy kit Posted: 14 Dec 2018 06:23 AM PST New from Carisma comes their 4Y24 1/24th scale 4WD buggy kit as a replacement for the ultra-popular GT24B kit. From the Pikes Peak inspired GT24R and the race inspired GT24TR Truggy to the GT24MT Micro Monster Truck, these RTR models are all in fact derived from the best selling model of them all: the GT24B. The range not only gave owners the opportunity to experience performance and control more associated with larger scales of cars, it also spawned a range of 3rd party hop ups, and even a full on race spec buggy conversion, like the Y24, manufactured by UK based NRC Projects. Sadly the whole production of these Carisma RC models is now sold through at retail and actually finding one to purchase as a donor vehicle is near impossible. The comprehensive 4Y24 kit, based on the original GT24B running gear and latest 2.4 GHz radio gear and brushless electrics is now available. It’s an ideal bed partner for the Y24 kit and could also be used as the base platform of a custom 1/24th fun build or micro FPV racer. The 4Y24 Kit will allow to add in any performance hop ups desired during the build itself, and then tune the chassis, shocks, wheels, tyres and body to the pilot’s driving style and taste. All the basics are included, from 2.4GHz FHSS radio gear, a fast and responsive steering servo, to the brushless long can motor and ESC. The fully ball-raced kit offers gear diffs as well as multiple gearing options. Source: Carisma [carisma-shop.com] The post Carisma 4Y24 1/24th 4WD buggy kit appeared first on Red RC - RC Car News. |

Estonian Indoor Off-road Championships Rd3 – Report Posted: 14 Dec 2018 01:29 AM PST The Väike-Maarja indoor off-road center in Estonia hosted the third leg of the National 1/10th Buggy Championship last weekend. As this is the only indoor off-road track in Estonia, the whole series is run at this facility with the results of the Baltic Championship race, hosted on the weekend of the 24th of February in Adavere, Estonia, also counting toward the overall championship. As for the racing, the premier 2WD class attracted 50 entries with the TQ being secured by local superstar Karl Kasekamp, followed by Hendrik Lainemäe and Hans Hannus. Karl also managed to secure the win in A1, with the next spots being hard fought for. Hendrik would come in 2nd in front of Rainer Ressar, who managed to pass Hans for the 3rd spot. A2 was probably the most interesting race of the season so far. TQ holder Karl made a mistake in first corner, witch actually dropped him to the last spot, and just after that Henrik crashed as well. This left the door open for Hans and Rainer who started to push hard and fled from the others. Karl and Hendrik started to recover, however the intense fight between them meant they had a hard time passing the other drivers. Ultimately it was Hans Hannus with the win while Rainer came in 2nd. A3 then was copy of the opening final, where Karl and Hendrik didn’t make any mistakes and Rainer managed to pass Hans. 2WD final results: In the 4WD Buggy, that attracted 21 drivers, Hendrik Lainemäe was kind of owning this class. Behind him there was an intense fight between Kristjanis Rolis from Latvia, Kuldar Ilus, Reimo Kosk and Jüri Ressar. The finals were dominated by Hendrik Lainemäe. Behind him it was Kristjanis on the runner-up spot while Kuldar and Reimo fought for the final podium spot. Although Reimo managed to pass Kuldar in one of finals, the overall 3rd place went still for Kuldar. 4WD final results: Source: Väike-Maarja Mudelihall [vmrc.ee] | Images: Vahur Kivaste The post Estonian Indoor Off-road Championships Rd3 – Report appeared first on Red RC - RC Car News. |
