Avid Aura Revolution ball bearings Posted: 12 Mar 2019 12:47 AM PDT Avid have introduced their new Aura Revolution line of oiled, tight tolerances steel ball bearings. Categorised as a budget-minded performance bearing and because it is oiled and has slightly higher tolerances than Avis’s greased Halo line, the bearing will perform almost as well as the compnany’s high-end Aura Ceramics but at more than half the cost. It is designed for the highly competitive racer that wants to have an edge but does so much racing that spending the money on the Aura Ceramic’s isn’t always practical. The bearing comes in Avid’s Revolution seal, which is a rubber seal on one side and metal on the other and they are made with Chromium Steel races because the surface finish is smoother than other materials such as Stainless Steel. This results in less noise and better performance. The bearings are now available in Avid’s famous FlexKit software, allowing to build customised packs for nearly every application.
