REDBLACKS SIGN JEREMIAH MASOLI

Jeremiah Masoli has signed with the Ottawa REDBLACKS, officially bringing his eight-year stay with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats to a close. The 33-year-old was an East Division all-star and the East Divisions nominee for Most Outstanding Player in 2018.

Masoli brings a dual threat presence along with throwing for 15,555 yards, hes rushed for 1,507 through 114 games and a ton of experience with him to the Ottawa REDBLACKS. He led the Ticats through a heartbreaking overtime loss, making 20 of 25 passes for 185 yards with two touchdowns, rushing for 35 yards and the game-sealing interception in OT.

The Ottawa REDBLACKS further solidified their backfield on Tuesday, as the club announced contract extensions for veteran defensive backs Abdul Kanneh and Randall Evans.

Former offensive lineman Jon Gott signed a one-day contract to retire as a member of the Ottawa REDBLACKS

A veteran of 10 CFL seasons and 145 games, Gott broke into the league with the Calgary Stampeders in 2009. He spent five seasons with the Stamps before being traded to the REDBLACKS. Gott played in all but seven games for Ottawa over the next five years as the centerpiece of an offensive line that would appear in the Grey Cup three times in four years, winning it all in 2016.
