| | | Kaya! We are nearing Kambarang, when temperatures rise and rainfall drops. This season is also known as the season of birth, as many animals raise their offspring. The corridor is bursting with colour at the moment, as wildflowers put on a show. If you have time we recommend a walk through the corridor, biodiversity is blooming on your doorstep! Karak Cooby Bushcarers are taking flight, see the events section below for details of their official launch on Sunday October 22, 10am to midday. |

| | | Dead Pine Stumps at Booyi The Norfolk Island Pines at Booyi (corner of Hope Road and Progress Drive) used to be an iconic sight. They were planted over 100 years ago by John Dixon. Sadly, during the Roe 8 clearing they were lopped at about 5 metres and subsequently died. The stumps have been assessed by a wood sculptor, who says they are not suitable for carving (the wood is very soft and termite ridden). The next step is to have them assessed by an arborist to check whether they are safe. We will keep you informed and let you know before anything happens in this space. |
