Kaya!

It's coming to the end of Bunuru, soon we will enter Djeran. It's becoming cooler now, with some dew in the morning. We are hoping for some rain, as are the plants and animals.
Community Questionnaire Now Open
The Annual Community Questionnaire is now open! You should have received an email about this recently from our consultant Dr Danielle Brady. The survey will only take 5-10 minutes to complete and will let you have your say. One question relates to the potential for renaming the Roe 8 corridor, so if you want to have your input on this subject please follow the link below.

Women's Nyungar Weaving Workshop

Join Lea Taylor from Creative Culture for a three hour weaving workshop! Participants will weave their own basket, with tuition and assistance given. The workshop will include time for yarning and viewing a display of Lea's work. All materials provided (natural and hand-dyed raffia). Morning tea will be included.

Please note this is an 18+ event for women only (for cultural reasons).

Project Update
  • Installation of Stage 2 of the Path Network is almost complete, with a new limestone track in the North Lake Road East/Jarrah zone
  • 20 volunteers assisted at the Clean Up Australia Day event on Forrest Road. Lots of rubbish was removed and we all enjoyed a beautiful bush tucker morning tea from All Good Grub
  • Watering of seedlings is ongoing
  • A request for Reg 7 and 10 has been submitted to DPLH, to allow for planting at the culturally significant Turtle Corner zone in winter
  • EOIs for speed talks at the upcoming conference close soon. We are seeking speakers from community groups involved in urban landcare. For more details on the event, EOI and tickets follow this link.
Keep up-to-date!
The Rehabilitating Roe 8 website is regularly updated with what is happening in the corridor, be sure to check it out! Hopefully we'll see you soon at one of our events.
