Ilan Berman, senior vice president of the American Foreign Policy Council, is a specialist on the Middle East, Central Asia, and the Russian Federation. Born in Israel to Soviet refuseniks, Mr. Berman holds a Master's in international politics from American University and a Juris Doctorate from the Washington College of Law. His most recent book, Iran's Deadly Ambition: The Islamic Republic's Quest for Global Power (Encounter Books, 2015), is available on Amazon.
