Svante E. Cornell is the director of the American Foreign Policy Council’sCentral Asia-Caucasus Institute and co-founder of the Institute for Security and Development Policy in Stockholm. He graduated from the Middle East Technical University in Ankara and obtained a Ph.D. from Uppsala University. Among other books, he is the author of Azerbaijan since Independence (2011) and Editor of The International Politics of the Armenia-Azerbaijan Conflict (2017).
The Middle East Forum, an activist think tank, deals with the Middle East, Islamism, U.S. foreign policy, and related topics, urging bold measures to protect Americans and their allies.
