Mike Pence is an American lawyer, broadcaster, and politician who served as the 48th vice president of the United States in 2017-21. He previously had been the governor of Indiana (in 2013-17) and a member of the U.S. House of Representatives (in 2001-13). Mr. Pence was born and raised in Columbus, Indiana, he graduated from Hanover College, and earned a law degree from Indiana University.
