Nonie Darwish is the director of Former Muslims United, an organization that advocates on behalf of Muslim Background Believers, and has written an account of her own journey in Wholly Different: Why I Chose Biblical Values Over Islamic Values (Salem Books, 2017). The daughter of a high-ranking Egyptian military officer killed by Israel in the lead-up to the Suez Crisis, Ms. Darwish is an outspoken critic of Arab rejectionism of Israel. She graduated from American University in Cairo and has lived in the United States since 1978.
