Embargoed Virtual Press Conference on new WHO global postnatal care guideline 

Worldwide, more than 3 in 10 women and babies do not receive postnatal care in the first days after birth -- the period when most maternal and infant deaths occur.

This week sees the launch of a new WHO global postnatal care guideline to support maternal, newborn and child health in the crucial weeks after birth.
