Virtual Press Conference on Lebanon and Afghanistan

When: Thursday, 23 September at 11:00 CEST (Geneva)

Subject: Focus on Lebanon and Afghanistan

Focusing on their recent trip, Dr Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, WHO Director-General, and Dr Ahmed Al-Mandhari, Regional Director for the Eastern Mediterranean, will update the media on the health and humanitarian situations in Lebanon and Afghanistan.

Other speakers include:

Dr Iman Shankiti, Representative, WHO Representative in Lebanon

Dr Luo Dapeng , Representative, WHO Representative in Afghanistan

Experts will also be available to discuss the global COVID-19 situation.
