When?

Tuesday, September 7 | 9 a.m EST

Featuring:

Moderator:

The U.S.-Azerbaijan Chamber of Commerce

Background:

Generalized System of Preferences (GSP) is a nonreciprocal trade preference program of the U.S. Government which aims to assist the trade with developing markets. Established in 1976, GSP is one of the oldest and the largest trade preference programs, offering preferential duty-free treatment to over 5000 products from designated beneficiary developing countries (BDCs) and least-developed beneficiary countries (LDBDCs). Over the last forty years, GSP has been encouraging exports from developing countries with a particular focus on value-added and labor-intensive products, such as jewelry, clothing, semi-manufactured goods, and partially agriculture goods.

By joining us you will learn:

  • What is the GSP program and how it works.
  • Import-export benefits for trading parties.
  • What products from Azerbaijan are GSP-eligible.
  • How to submit the GSP petition, etc.

USACC is partnering with Azerbaijan Export and Investment Promotion Agency (AZPROMO), Small and Medium Business Development Agency and American Chamber in Azerbaijan (AmCham/Azerbaijan).

Registration is required. Please register at events@usacc.org by September 6 EOB.
