2015 - 2016 ANNUAL FUND SPRING APPEAL
The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center relies on support from friends like you to help us discover new ways to end cancer.

In fact, your support is needed today in our fight against lung cancer, the leading cancer killer in men and women in the U.S. In the first clinical trials comparing stereotactic ablative radiotherapy (SABR) and surgery, patients with early-stage non-small cell lung cancer could achieve better overall survival rates if treated with SABR.

Guided by computerized imagery, SABR pinpoints small tumors with precise radiation and requires much shorter treatment time, resulting in fewer side effects. This research holds great promise for elderly patients with other health issues such as heart disease or chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.

With your continued support, our dedicated researchers will push the envelope to develop even more novel and potentially lifesaving therapies for cancer patients.

That’s why I’m asking you to renew your commitment to ending cancer by giving your best gift to the 2016 Annual Fund Spring Appeal.
