Automating Access To The Perfect Cup Of Coffee

 

As a wholesale operation, Blanchard’s Coffee Roasting Co. didn't think much about retail customers in conjunction with hours of operation. Or at least they didn't until consumers started walking in off the street to buy coffee directly from shelves. The problem, Blanchard's Stephen Robertson tells PYMNTS, is that it wasn't open nights and weekends when consumers were showing up. So, instead of changing its hours, the company decided to rejigger its distribution method to make specialized vending machines always open for customers.
