Good morning and thanks for joining us. Here are some of today's top headlines.
Bitter negotiations: A New York firm's court-ordered report on the ongoing Archdiocese of New Orleans bankruptcy case says feuding lawyers and a lack of trust are slowing down the process and driving up legal fees, noting that every dollar that goes to attorneys is one less to compensate clergy sex-abuse victims. Stephanie Riegel has the details.
Clearing encampments: The state continues to clear homeless camps throughout the city, with an advisor to Gov. Jeff Landry saying Thursday that the plan is to move anyone remaining on the street to one location. This comes over the objection of the city, which says it complicates efforts to find people permanent housing. Sophie Kasakove has the story.
Hound on the town: Scrim, the mixed-breed terrier and Mid-City legend who was finally captured by a local rescue organization this week, took a walk on Thursday. The kind that includes a leash and doesn't last 177 days. Doug MacCash was there.
