  ABC News and The Washington Post reported Wednesday that an attorney on President Trump's behalf sent a cease-and-desist letter to Steve Bannon saying his comments in a forthcoming book were a breach of confidentiality and "outright defamatory." Bannon reportedly characterized a June 2016 meeting between top Trump campaign officials and a Russian lawyer as "treasonous." Earlier Wednesday, Trump bashed Bannon insisting his former chief strategist "lost his mind" after he was ousted from his White House job.
