This role is based at our international headquarters on Wurundjeri woi-wurrung Country in Collingwood (Victoria, Australia) and is part-time (Tuesday, Thursday & Friday). The position of Membership Officer is an integral role at Res Artis focused on the growth and development of our organisation by way of member liaison, retention and recruitment. The Membership Officer acts as the main point of contact for more than 600 existing members as well as potential Res Artis members, by approving membership applications, processing membership payments, responding to enquiries and actively working to recruit and retain our rapidly growing international membership base. This position plays an integral role to Res Artis by acting as the conduit between member needs and strategic decision-making. Call Out for Speakers... We're looking for submissions for conference content, with funding available for a limited number of successful proposals. Taking place in person and online, Mind the Gap: Designing residencies for everyone will explore our post-pandemic and increasingly fragmented world. The event proposes co-creation and collaboration as solutions to shared obstacles faced globally by residency providers and the artists they host. A mix of keynotes, artist performances, panel discussions, practical workshops and breakout working party groups will address issues ofpower, access and diversity & notions of working in partnership and co-creation. If you have an idea for Mind the Gap: Designing residencies for everyone, please outline your proposal via the form below. The building is surrounded by trees and grass.] We are delighted to celebrate a new Res Artis Member to the network: The La Barre Artist Residency is an artist-run initiative positioned on a small slice of rural french country side in Chalais, France. Our residency provides emerging and mid-career artists a place for innovation and experimentation, offering an immersive environment, intercultural reciprocity and professional support. Located in the Parc Naturel Regional De La Brenne we offer artists a large shared studio; access to a shared workshop with a wide range of power operated and handheld tools; and large plein air painting stretches. We have fifteen acres of land and have outdoor facilities for artists for many disciplines. The land and fields are bordered by river and part of the area is shaded in a wooded hill. |

The artists granted residencies will be given the opportunity to take part in networking activities, study visits, meetings with relevant professionals and institutions, and to receive professional artistic feedback. Læsø AiR also wishes to support the artistic process and research phase by providing the artists with time, space and opportunities for reflection and contemplation. |

Currently on show is The Cook & Her Driver, an exhibition celebrating works produced through Stonehouse - Glasshouse Residency. In 2019 esteemed artists Virginia Leonard and Karen Black undertook the Stonehouse Glasshouse residency program in France, through support from Antje and Andrew Géczy and Res Artis benefactors Michael Schwarz and David Clouston. The Cook and Her Driver presents works created during the residency and a publication celebrating the artist’s experience, titled Virginia Leonard – Karen Black: Stonehouse – Glasshouse Residency, 2019 Stonehouse – Glasshouse Residency is a program developed in collaboration between Antje and Andrew Géczy, and Res Artis benefactors Michael Schwarz and David Clouston. The primary purpose of the residency is to offer Australian and New Zealand artists the opportunity to live and work in France where cultural exchange, understanding and inspiration is encouraged. This exhibition coincides with'The drunkard's cloak'at Gertrude Glasshouse by Gavin Bell, Jarrah de Kuijer & Simon McGlinn.
