Res Artis: Worldwide Network of Arts Residencies and IASPIS, the Swedish Arts Grants Committee's International Programme for Visual and Applied Artists, with the support of Creative Victoria, are offering you a series of five webinars titled Residencies in Challenging Times. The webinars will focus on the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the arts and culture and on how art organisations have been responding to it. We will also discuss how artist residencies can be better equipped for the future, as well as on how they are contributing to overcome some of the most prominent societal challenges at the moment, such as the fight against racism and inequalities, and climate change. Speakers are Yinka Shonibare CBE RA, Lisa Hoffman, Professor Lucy Orta, Marco Maria Zanin, Sarah Farrelly, Lea O'Loughlin, Professor Jean-Baptist Joly, Iris Ferrer, Johan Pousette and Luigi Galimberti. The webinars will take place from 2 September 2020 onwards. Registration is free of charge. If you miss them, don't worry! We will record them for you and they will be freely accessible on our website. More information here! |

Results to come – COVID-19: Impact Survey on the Arts Residencies Field | |
Res Artis partnered with UCL (University College London) to conduct this survey to assess the true impact of COVID-19 specifically on the arts residencies field. The first survey which closed on 1 June, examined the immediate impact, and later this year we will ask respondents to complete two further short surveys to analyse the medium-term and long-term effects. Thank you to everyone for contributing to this important research and data collection. It enables Res Artis in partnership with UCL to advocate for support, much-needed resources and emergency funding on behalf of the sector. It will help us all, as a collective whole, gain a deeper understanding of the situation and how we might work together to rebuild and strengthen the field. We hope to provide the results in September for your dissemination. |
