Tech professionals to host STEM event

The National Society of Black Engineers Charleston Professionals and Charleston Women in Tech will hold the inaugural STEMapalooza next month, an event meant to increase students’ awareness of opportunities in science, technology, engineering and math.

State plans workshop on tariffs

A lunch and learn session called “Tariff Actions & Strategies for Navigating” is scheduled for 12:30-2 p.m. at the Capitol City Center Conference Room, 1201 Main St., Columbia. Topics include an update on tariffs and resources to help navigate tariffs. The session is presented by the S.C. Department of Commerce, K&L Gates and SCMEP — the S.C. Manufacturing Extension Partnership.

Vine, Shine & Stein Cocktail Tour

Discover some of Greenville’s hidden gems and secret locations while experiencing cocktails and spirting while enjoying a few edible treats. Walk, chat and taste to discover Greenville’s past and future beginning at 5 p.m. Friday in downtown. Tour takers will begin in a century-old building that now houses three restaurants, discover a new pub hidden in plain sight, and sample local wine from a vineyard just outside of Greenville. The tour is presented by Foothill Foodie Tours LLC.
