The S.C. Ports Authority continued its streak of record-breaking activity last month, reporting its best monthly container volumes on record in August.

State plans workshop on tariffs

A lunch and learn session called “Tariff Actions & Strategies for Navigating” is scheduled for 12:30-2 p.m. at the Capitol City Center Conference Room, 1201 Main St., Columbia. Topics include an update on tariffs and resources to help navigate tariffs. The session is presented by the S.C. Department of Commerce, K&L Gates and SCMEP — the S.C. Manufacturing Extension Partnership.

Tour takers will begin in a century-old building that now houses three restaurants, discover a new pub hidden in plain sight, and sample local wine from a vineyard just outside of Greenville.
