Infection control practices: universal precautions

The system of universal precautions requires healthcare workers to routinely use appropriate barrier precautions when caring for patients, regardless of the patient’s known or suspected infection status. Universal precautions should be observed whenever workers may have contact with human blood, blood products, and other bodily fluids that contain visible blood.
 

Residency coordinator raises

According to the 2019 HCPro Residency Coordinator Salary Survey, approximately 67% of respondents have received a pay increase within the past year. This is slightly better than the 2017 survey in which 66% of respondents reported receiving a pay increase. However, the 2019 survey results are still down from the 2016 results in which more than 75% of respondents reported pay increases.
