The Implications of a Flexible Workplace

In a poll circulated at an event hosted by the College and University Professional Association for Human Resources, or CUPA-HR, 45 percent of respondents said they plan to have some faculty and staff on campus, some fully remote, and some in a hybrid environment this fall.

Human-resources leaders view this shift as an opportunity to look past the easy choice — returning to business as usual — to figure out how to be a competitive work force in the future.

Order  The New Academic Workplace to examine how the pandemic has pushed administrators to rethink how people learn and teach on campus. This Chronicle report will help you consider the implications of remote and hybrid work as you develop policies that will support and advance your institution’s mission.
