We’ve always had your back, with the best deals around. But now, we have refocused our site to bring you even more news you can use during a crisis. (And if we find great deals and freebies along the way, even better!)
If you look through our revamped site, you’ll notice:
*A streamlined, reader-friendly layout that highlights the most up-to-date items.
*A new Virtual Events Calendar brimming with all the best in online entertainment. Don’t see an event there? You can submit virtual events here or email the information to news@miamionthecheap.com.
*New categories so you can easily find information.
Need help locating fresh produce? Filing for unemployment? Looking for a new job?
Go to “Resources and News You Can Use.”
Seeking something fun to do while social distancing?
Check out “Entertainment and Things to do at Home.”
On the hunt for a good deal on good eats? Find it under “Restaurant and Food Information.”
Our parent website, Living on the Cheap, has also refocused: Find everything from how to make a cloth mask to how to mail packages from home to tips on avoiding scams during a crisis. Be sure to check there daily, or subscribe to Living on the Cheap's free, daily newsletter.
This is a hard time financially for many in our community, and that includes us. Living on the Cheap and Miami on the Cheap are part of a small publishing business based in South Florida, and we are suffering the same income drop others are experiencing. We started these websites in 2009, during the last recession, and we are dedicated to helping readers, businesses, cultural institutions and artists now more than ever.
If you have news to share, or if there is something you’d like to know, please email us your thoughts at editor@miamionthecheap.com or news@miamionthecheap.com.
The point is to connect our community. We are still here. We are still on the lookout for you. And we hope you will still be here with us. So, if you don't already, subscribe to our daily newsletter. Check out our Facebook and Twitter pages. Share our content with others. Send us a message. Buy an ad. We truly are in this together.
Help us help you - and we’ll all make it through.
Sincerely,
Melina, Teresa, Josie and Patti
