Medicare fee-for-service improper payments down $15 billion since 2016

Medicare fee-for-service (FFS) improper payments have declined by $15 billion since 2016, according to a report released by CMS.
Open Position: Regulatory Specialist
We are seeking a Medicare Regulatory Specialist for HCPro to teach our Medicare Boot Camps® and Revenue Integrity and Chargemaster Boot Camp® and to provide update calls, expert answers and guidance through our Propel Advisory Services to clients with varied service lines. Candidates would also be expected to partner with fellow regulatory instructors and the HCPro product team to identify and launch new training resources, including boot camps, seminars, eLearning, webcasts, and books.

On December 2, CMS published a draft copy of the 2021 OPPS and ASC PPS Final Rule. CMS finalized updates to both OPPS and ASC PPS payment rates by 2.4% for 2021. CMS also finalized a proposal which will eliminate the inpatient-only (IPO) list over a three-year period, beginning with the removal of almost 300 musculoskeletal-related services in 2021.
