HHS awards $15 million to support telehealth during COVID-19

The United States Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) announced in a press release that through the Health Resources and Services Administration, it has awarded $15 million to 159 organizations across five health workforce programs to increase telehealth capabilities.

The American College of Physicians recently wrote a letter to CMS Administrator Seema Verma recommending that several telehealth flexibilities remain in effect for a period after the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) public health emergency is lifted.
