Universal Health Services, one of the nation’s largest hospital management companies, on September 27 suffered a cyberattack that resulted in the company disconnecting all systems and temporarily shutting down its network.

Between June and July 2019, nearly 4,200 procedures from a list of high-volume procedures were performed, while only 3,200 procedures from that same list were performed between June and July 2020.
